Sometimes, even animals need a break. That is exactly what happened in Florida when a homeowner spotted a black bear chilling in their backyard hot tub. The bear looked completely relaxed as he soaked in the warm water, as if he were enjoying a spa day.
After he was done soaking, the bear got out of the tub and walked over to the patio. He found a comfy couch and stretched out for a nap. He ended up sleeping for six hours, enjoying the peaceful backyard as if it were a luxury resort.
The homeowner called Florida Fish and Wildlife to report the unexpected visitor. When officers showed up and tried to wake the bear, he refused to leave. Instead of walking away, he climbed up a tree and stayed there overnight.
The next morning, officers came back with a new plan. They brought doughnuts and used them to lure the bear out of the tree. Once he came down for the sweet snacks, they were able to safely capture him.
The bear was taken to a nearby state park where he could live safely in the wild. No hot tub there, but at least he had a good vacation while it lasted.
