Where you live may play a bigger role in your stress level than you think.
According to a new study from WalletHub, Detroit has once again been named the most stressed city in America for the second consecutive year.
The rankings compared 182 U.S. cities using 39 different indicators across four categories:
Work-related stress
Financial stress
Family stress
Health and safety stress
Researchers analyzed factors including unemployment, housing affordability, crime rates, divorce rates, and average sleep.
The five most stressed cities are:
Detroit
Baltimore
Cleveland
Memphis
Philadelphia
Also ranking among the nation's most stressed cities was Jackson.
Meanwhile, Fremont earned the title of America's least stressed city, followed by South Burlington.
The report suggests that economic conditions, public safety, and access to resources continue to have a significant impact on overall quality of life.
