After more than two decades in hip-hop, T.I. says he's preparing to close one chapter of his career.
According to People, the Grammy-winning rapper plans to retire from music following the release of his upcoming album, Kill the King. Looking back on his journey, T.I. said he feels grateful for the longevity of his career.
"I feel blessed to have had such a long career, to go from the kid that was praying to be a part of something to having such a significant role."
T.I. and his wife, Tiny Harris, have been married since 2010 and have built a blended family of seven children. Their relationship has weathered public highs and lows, including T.I.'s 2009 federal prison sentence on weapons charges, legal challenges, and years of life in the spotlight.
The rapper has often shared that he first developed a crush on Tiny while she was a member of the iconic R&B group Xscape before the two eventually began dating.
As T.I. prepares for retirement, his story has sparked conversations about the importance of having a supportive partner through life's challenges and whether overcoming adversity together is one of the greatest tests of a relationship.
