Taco Bell is taking action after the FDA linked lettuce served at some locations to a Cyclospora outbreak.
The company says it has been working closely with public health officials and has removed potentially affected lettuce supplied by Taylor Farms from restaurants in select states.
In a statement shared on Instagram, Taco Bell reassured customers:
"We take your health and safety seriously and have removed all affected Taylor Farms lettuce from Taco Bell stores."
Meanwhile, Taylor Farms has expanded its recall to include lettuce distributed to restaurants and grocery stores across 27 states due to possible contamination.
Cyclospora is a parasite that can cause gastrointestinal illness, and health officials continue investigating the outbreak.
