Apparently, Florida is not just known for beaches, theme parks and sunshine.
A new analysis from Lovehoney ranked Florida as the top U.S. state for people interested in the swinging lifestyle. The company examined public indicators including Google search interest, the number of swingers clubs, Reddit activity, hotels, bars and the percentage of married residents. The study does not claim to measure how many swingers actually live in each state.
Florida earned the No. 1 spot with 148 listed swingers clubs and a highly active online community.
Texas came in second with 93 clubs, followed by Georgia at No. 3 with 34 clubs and about 21,000 weekly visitors to its state swingers Reddit community.
Nevada ranked fourth and led the country in search interest for phrases including “swingers near me” and “swinger clubs.” The state also has 27 listed clubs.
Tennessee rounded out the top five, helped by approximately 27,000 weekly visitors to its swingers Reddit community and nearly 20 hotels per 100,000 residents.
So apparently, there are a whole lot more people interested in the lifestyle than some of us might have realized.
