The 15-year-old son of reality star Kim Zolciak and former Atlanta Falcons player Kroy Biermann is facing two serious felony charges in Georgia.
Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr. has been charged with aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual battery stemming from an alleged April 23 incident involving a 15-year-old female classmate at a Life Time fitness center in Alpharetta. Because of the seriousness of the charges, Georgia law requires the case to begin in adult court, although prosecutors could later move it to juvenile court.
According to police and court records, the girl accused Biermann of sexually assaulting her inside a changing area. She was examined at a hospital the following day. Reports state that no male DNA was detected during the examination.
Biermann was arrested August 17 and is currently being held without bond. His defense attorney, Jason Sheffield, maintains that the teenager is innocent and has criticized the accusations against his client.
Kim Zolciak has also publicly defended her son, calling the allegations “reckless and deeply troubling” and asking the public to allow the legal process to play out.
The charges are allegations and have not been proven in court. A hearing is scheduled for September.
