Baby boomers apparently have a lot of love for unlimited breadsticks.
New YouGov data shows Olive Garden leading the casual dining restaurants that adults 65 and older say they would consider visiting.
Among roughly 7,500 older adults surveyed, 33.8% said they would consider Olive Garden for their next casual dining visit.
That put the Italian restaurant chain ahead of Texas Roadhouse, Applebee’s, Cracker Barrel and Outback Steakhouse.
Olive Garden, which first opened in 1982, also scored especially well for service and overall dining experience.
And the love for Olive Garden does not stop with baby boomers.
The restaurant also performed strongly with Gen X and millennials.
But Gen Z said, “Hold the breadsticks.”
Younger diners gave Chili’s the edge, with 29.6% saying they would consider the restaurant compared with 28.7% for Olive Garden.
So Junior, apparently your generation is keeping those baby back ribs and Triple Dippers in business.
The results prove that generations may disagree about music, fashion and social media, but apparently we can also add where to meet for dinner to the list.
