We're no stranger to Pinky Cole's generosity towards her Atlanta, Georgia neighbors. But it's her love for fellow Clark Atlanta University students that's beyond words.
Being a CAU alum, the Slutty Vegan founder can relate to college tuition struggles all too well. She admitted to 11 Alive:
โIโve been in that situation trying to figure out how youโre gonna pay for school and if it werenโt for me becoming Miss Clark Atlanta University, I might not have been able to graduate.โ
Pairing with another black-owned restaurant owner of Harlem Hops, Stacey Lee, was a match made in heaven in a quest to help the next generation of greatness. The dynamic duo were happy to take over the balance of 30 Clark seniors in order to get them across the stage with degrees in hand. The only things they asked in return were for the students to focus on getting their books and "paying it forward." Pinky added:
โIt just felt good. It felt rewarding. Thatโs the biggest reward and success. itโs not the fact that we paid the money but theyโre reactions and how they felt.โ
โAnd itโs how you make people feel. They โll never forget this for the rest of their lives. Theyโll remember that people came together to help and support them in achieving their dreams.โ
Thank you for all you do, Pink!
